1969Foundation in Münster.
1970Constitutional assembly meeting in Münster. ASP becomes member of FEPSAC.
1971First scientific convention of the ASP in Heidelberg.
1972Organization of the 3rd European Congress of Sport Psychology in Cologne on behalf of FEPSAC. Erwin Hahn is the first ASP member to be elected onto the board of directors of FEPSAC.
1973ASP becomes a member of the International Society of Sport Psychology (ISSP). Hermann Rieder is the first ASP member to be elected as General Secretary of the ISSP during the 3rd Congress of the ISSP in Madrid, Spain.
1974At the 29th Congress of the German Society of Psychology (DGfP) in Salzburg, Austria, sport psychology is represented for the first time with a symposium during a Congress of the DGfP.
1979The tradition of ASP reports of meetings in cooperation with the BPS-publishing house in Cologne is started with the report on the 10th annual meeting.
1981In Munich an ASP convention takes place for the first time during an IAAP Congress.
1984During the convention in Bielefeld the hundredth member of ASP greeted.
1985Foundation of a "Curriculum of Advanced Learning in Sport Psychology" through the joint support of ASP and BDP (Alliance of German Psychologists). Agreements on cooperation between ASP and the dvs (German Society of Sport Science) are made; ever since ASP functions as a section for sport psychology of the DVS while keeping its independence. In alliance with the DVS, DFG-special experts for sport science/sport psychology are elected for the first time.
1987In cooperation with the publishing house Phillipka in Münster, Foundation of the journal "Sportpsychologie" as a journal on sport psychology in German speaking areas. Revision of the constitution of ASP. With Dorothee Alfermann ASP is represented for the first time on the board of directors of the DVS.
1991Organization of the 8th Congress of Sport Psychology in Cologne in commission of FEPSAC. The German sport psychological societies of East and West Germany explain their cooperation to ASP. The number of ASP members increases to over 200.
1994The journal "Sportpsycholgie" is given up, and the first issue of "Psycholgie & Sport" is published at Karl Hofmann, Schorndorf as a new organ of ASP.
1996Roland Seiler was announced from the FEPSAC as managing editor of the "European Yearbook of Sport Psychology" (EYSP). Oliver Stoll developed the asp-homepage.
1997On the conference from the 8.-10. May in Jena Kurt Kohl became a honorary member of asp and Hermann Müller received the Karl-Feige-Dissertation Award. Hermann Rieder received the "ISSP-Distinguished International Sport Psychologist Award". Dorothee Alfermann was elected into the Managing Council of ISSP and was invited to join the scientific counsel of the board of the Deutschen Sportbunds (DSB).
199930 years asp. Petra Wagner received the Karl-Feige-Dissertation Award.
2001Markus Raab received the Karl-Feige-Dissertation Award.
2003Ralf Brand received the Karl-Feige-Dissertation Award.
2005Mathias Weigelt received the Karl-Feige-Dissertation Award.
2007Gorden Sudeck received the Karl-Feige-Dissertation Award.
2009Jeannine Ohlert received the Karl-Feige-Dissertation Award.
